TMTPOST -- Chinese tech giant Huawei on Wednesday launched its latest wearable and audio devices during an online event, unveiling the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 series smartwatches and HUAWEI FreeClip 2 ear-clip headphones. The new products showcase Huawei’s continued focus on long battery life, advanced health monitoring, and AI-powered audio technology.

The WATCH GT 6 series comes in three versions: 46 mm, 41 mm, and Pro. All feature a new high-silicon stacked irregular battery designed to extend battery performance. According to Huawei Lab data, the 46 mm model offers up to 21 days of battery life under light usage, while the 41 mm model lasts up to 14 days. With the Always-On Display (AOD) enabled, battery life decreases to seven and five days, respectively. The series also features an upgraded Sunflower Positioning System, which Huawei claims improves location accuracy by 20% compared to its predecessor.
Huawei has enhanced the watches’ fitness tracking capabilities, introducing cycling power simulation for the first time. Using a wind tunnel model, users can view real-time cycling power data on the watch without external sensors. The watches continue to support modes for trail running, skiing, golf, and more. Health monitoring features include heart rate tracking, blood oxygen measurement, and atrial fibrillation load statistics. The Emotional Health Assistant can recognize 12 emotional states, aggregating data through Huawei’s Xuanji Perception System.
The WATCH GT 6 Pro 46 mm model builds on the standard version with a vertical chronograph bezel, increasing the display area by 5.5%. Premium materials include a sapphire glass watch face, aerospace-grade titanium alloy case and bezel, and a nano-microcrystalline ceramic back cover.

Alongside the smartwatches, Huawei introduced the FreeClip 2 ear-clip headphones. Retaining the open C-shaped bridge design, each earbud weighs just 5.1 grams and comes in Denim Blue, Feather White, and Modern Black. Rated IP57for dust and water resistance, the earbuds offer a total battery life of 38 hours, with up to nine hours of continuous playback on a single charge.
The earbuds feature Huawei’s third-generation audio chip and an NPU AI processor, delivering ten times the computing power of the previous generation. Dual-engine drivers double loudness, while a triple-microphone array and DNN noise reduction algorithm improve call quality. Reverse sound field technology also reduces sound leakage.
Software capabilities are powered by HarmonyOS AI, supporting voice wake-up with “Xiaoyi,” nod/shake head controls, intelligent notifications, and real-time translation in 20 languages, when paired with devices running HarmonyOS 5.0 or higher. The charging case adds StarLight precise location tracking, with an official search range of around 50 meters in open areas.
Huawei’s new products are competitively priced. The WATCH GT 6 series starts at 1,588 yuan for the 46 mm base model, 1,488 yuan for the 41 mm model, and 2,488 yuan for the Pro version. The FreeClip 2 ear-clip headphones are priced at 1,299 yuan.
With these launches, Huawei aims to strengthen its presence in the wearable and AI audio markets, emphasizing long battery life, advanced health features, and intelligent audio performance, appealing to both fitness enthusiasts and tech-savvy consumers.
